My First Website
In the four and a half years since I began Bay Web Designs I have created some great websites for some wonderful clients, but your first one is always special.
I’m pleased to say that my first website for a client is still up and running and that they are still very happy with it. It has stood the test of time and does the job it’s supposed to.
My daughter was (and still is) a pupil of The Drama Factory, which is how I came to meet Ginny and talk to her about a new website. The one they had was dated and they felt a fresh website would be beneficial.
I had fun building this website as there were few client requirements so I had a fairly free reign, although I was still very ‘new’ to web design so didn’t like to go too overboard. One of the necessary requirements was for my client to be able to update themselves. To keep it easy I used CushyCMS. For a self-avowed non-tecchie Ginny is still going strong with this system I rarely have to help with updates.
Of course, four years later there are things I would do differently, but on the whole I am very happy with how it looks and – the absolute main thing – that my client is still happy with it.
